Christopher Peter Meloni, an American actor is best known for his role in the tv show Law & Order Special Victims Unit. While at college Christopher Meloni has always been fascinated by the world of acting. He went to study acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. His characters in television are gaining him lots of recognition. The ability of his characters to appear from both sides of the law is a draw for audiences. He played the part of a serial killer on his debut television show but later went on to play the role as an NYPD detective. His small-screen performances have been recognized with multiple Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. He is famous by his blue piercing eyes, which have become the trademark of his character and has helped him create a charismatic character for tough roles. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
